One Month To Go?

With one month to go, we were just starting to think about the arrival of our little one. Since everything was going smoothy, we decided that Ben could go on a short weekend trip. Ben left early Friday morning.

Although we didn't catch anything, we saw 15-20 muskies that day.

The first call came that afternoon or evening. Nikki was headed to the hospital. While at our house to help us paint the baby's room, my mom noticed that Nikki's ankles were very swollen. She insisted that Nikki have her blood pressure checked. My aunt Grace offered to check it for her. Soon after that, Nikki was on her way to the hospital. She assured me on the phone and a couple hundred miles away that she was fine and may just need to rest more. She returned home later that night.

The next day I went golfing.

The call came on the 16th hole. She was headed back to the hospital. I wished her luck, and finished my golf game. (What was I supposed to do!?)

I headed home later that evening, leaving a day early. I visited Nikki in the hospital late that evening. Although they wanted to monitor her overnight, they would probably release her the next day on bedrest for another two weeks. I went home and got some sleep.
